You may choose to make a pattern on the floor, make one or more geometrical shapes or surround a room with a border. Just keep in mind that whatever design you choose is something you should be able to live with if you need to move the furniture around.

Some of them can get very expensive, so they work especially well in smaller spaces. One thing about these kinds of tiles is that you may have difficulty matching wall tiles to them so if that’s what you plan to do you may want to buy your wall tiles and floor tile designs at the same time.
You can even find very intricate designs with pictures of animals on them. One word of caution though, and that is that you have to remember that laying floor tile is a job that is best done all at one time. When you are putting down the adhesive, you should do a small patch of the time and then lay down the tiles. If you plan to use floor tile designs that are complicated, you may want to get some help from a handy friend or family member.
Try laying down the design without the adhesive first to make sure that it looks the way you expected and that you have enough tiles. The job could be going very well, but if you run out of tiles before you are finished you may find yourself trying to scrape up adhesive that has already set.
